Dr. BreathEasy: Oh hello! Good day LaLa, and how are we today?

LaLa: Great Dr. BreathEasy!  I’m learning about the atmosphere.  Can you teach me something about it?

Dr. BreathEasy: Science is so much fun!

Way up there, there is air
And the air is everywhere
In the sky, on the ground
Yes the air is all around
It's in you, it's in me
Almost everything you see
Every creature everywhere
Breathes the air!

Well the truth that is clear
Is a balanced atmosphere
Yes it’s true, if you care
Help the harmony up there
It's not hard to explain
When the answer's very plain
Yes we really must take care
Of the air!

You see LaLa, there is a delicate balance of gasses surrounding our planet, like a blanket, keeping it just the right temperature all the time.  Without the sun and these gasses working together we would be cold cold cold!

However, if there is tooooo much of these gasses then the earth can't do her job to take of herself and we might get warm warm warm!

Way up there, there is air
And the air is everywhere
In the sky, on the ground
Yes the air is all around
It's in you, it's in me
Almost everything you see
Every creature everywhere
Breathes the air!

LaLa: Tell me more about it Dr. Breath-easy!

Dr. BreathEasy: Everything adds up, LaLa.  Too many too many cars driving around town!

LaLa: Too many too many trucks carrying our stuff around!

Dr. BreathEasy: Too many too many planes flying through the air!

LaLa: Too much too much oil burning everywhere!

Dr. BreathEasy: Too much too much waste filling up the ground!

LaLa: Too many too many trees getting cut down!

Dr. BreathEasy: Too much too much too much too much too much too much too much too much carbon emission!

Dr. BreathEasy and LaLa:

Dr. BreathEasy:
You see LaLa, Mother Earth already has the right recipe for life on this planet.  All we have to do is follow it!  Did you know that the plants we eat compost, decompose, and become new plants again.  New soil for Mother Earth to make new trees.  Who wants to hug a tree?  Have you hugged a tree today?  Now let’s go measure our carbon footprints!  I should reduce a size this year.
